 Abstract
Etiquette is a concept means all rules and conduct norms that are identified and complied by people and established for the propose of building a harmonious relationship between the different people, which come into being in the course of social intercourse and affected by factors such as historical traditions, customs, religious beliefs, the trend of the times and so on. Etiquette is a kind of language and also a tool, a product of human civilization, with specific connotation, its connotation being enriched and developed continuously as time goes by.
Because of individual difference, different sense of hierarchy, different style of social intercourse, difference on gender and the old and the young, difference on benefit and legal concept and other reasons, Chinese and Western etiquette are different in communicative language, dining and drinking culture, costume culture, etc. There are many differences in the performance of different forms of etiquette. We have to learn the essence of Western culture, and abandon its dross in dealing with the differences between Chinese and western etiquette, at the same time, inherit and enhance the good part of traditional Chinese ceremonial rites continuously.

摘 要
礼仪是指人们在社会交往中由于受历史传统、风俗习惯、宗教信仰、时代潮流等因素而形成，既为人们所认同，又为人们所遵守，是以建立和谐关系为目的的各种符合交往要求的行为准则和规范的总和。礼仪是人与人之间交流的规则，是一种语言，也是一种工具。礼仪是人类文明的产物，有着特定的内涵，并且随着时间的推移，使其内涵得以不断的丰富和发展。
由于文化背景、价值观、个人主义和集体主义、家庭、民族主义等方面的原因，中西方礼仪在交际语言、餐饮、服饰等方面存在着差异，表现出不同的礼仪形态。在对待中西方礼仪差异的态度上，我们要吸取西方礼仪文化的精华，弃其糟粕，继承中国传统礼仪的同时融合中西方礼仪中好的部分，不断发扬中国礼仪文化。
